Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) and be a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment! Duties
Assist dentists during various dental procedures including restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control standards and aseptic techniques
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including 3D scans, while maintaining proper radiation safety protocols
Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; ensure accurate documentation of medical history, treatment notes, and medical coding in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort before, during, and after procedures; provide patient education on oral health care practices
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist, verifying insurance information, and handling medical documentation efficiently
Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control guidelines and OSHA standards
Experience
Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a general or pediatric dentistry setting with familiarity in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge
Hands-on experience with dental X-ray procedures, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technology
Proficiency in managing EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; knowledge of Epic or similar medical records software is a plus
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and data security
Ability to perform chairside assisting with competence in aseptic techniques and infection control protocols
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and pediatrics; experience supporting pediatric patients preferred
Familiarity with dental specialties such as prosthodontics or endodontics enhances your versatility within the practice
