Job Description
Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), or (RDAEF) where your expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care in a vibrant, fast-paced environment. As an integral part of our office, you will support the dentist with chairside assistance, patient management, and clinical procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. Duties
Assist dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, and prosthodontics dentistry treatments.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring aseptic techniques are followed rigorously.
Manage electronic dental records such as Dentrix to document patient information accurately and efficiently.
Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions in clear, understandable language.
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with dental receptionists and managing medical documentation and coding for insurance claims.
Maintain infection control protocols and ensure all clinical areas meet OSHA standards for safety and cleanliness.
Assist with medical records management, ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelines for confidentiality.
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental office setting, preferably with exposure to general and prosthodontics dentistry.
Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques.
Ability to handle medical documentation accurately while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA regulations.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
