Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) – Job Description

Position Overview
We are a modern, technology-driven private dental practice seeking a motivated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, professional, efficient, compassionate, and committed to delivering an exceptional patient experience.
Responsibilities
· Assist doctor during a wide range of procedures including restorative, crown and bridge, endodontics, and surgical procedures
· Take digital radiographs
· Fabricate temporary crowns
· Perform coronal polishing within California scope of practice
· Prepare and break down operatories efficiently
· Maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols
· Proper instrument processing and sterilization
· Assist with clinical charting and documentation
· Support front office team when needed
· Maintain organized and efficient clinical workflow
Qualifications
· Active California Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license
· Current CPR certification
· X‑ray certification
· Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Professional appearance and positive attitude
· Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment
· Experience with digital dentistry preferred
