Overview
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with expanded function, where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient comfort, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and safety. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment
Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry
Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed
Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft.
Provide chairside assistance during procedures with proficiency in dental terminology and four-handed dentistry techniques
Experience
Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a fast-paced dental clinic environment, with familiarity in general dentistry procedures
Strong knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, anatomy, and dental assisting standards
Experience operating dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners
Proficiency with dental software platforms such as Eaglesoft for managing medical records and documentation
Ability to communicate effectively using medical terminology and dental terminology to ensure clear patient interactions
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is highly desirable, along with experience assisting in endodontic or prosthodontic treatments
Certification in radiography (X-ray) is required; additional certifications in medical coding or pediatrics are advantageous
