Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dental team in various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, including sterilization of instruments and equipment.
Be HARP Certified for taking Dental X-rays,
Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Maintain infection control protocols and aseptic techniques throughout the practice ensuring compliance with IPAC regulations.
Support the dental receptionist with administrative tasks as needed.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
Bilingualism in English and French is an asset
Experience in chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques
Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable.
