Job Description
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our modern cosmetic dental practice. The ideal candidate has experience in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience.
Responsibilities
Assist the doctor during cosmetic, restorative, and general dental procedures.
Support smile design cases, including mock-ups, temporaries, and patient presentations.
Manage Invisalign cases, including digital scans, attachment placement, tray delivery, patient education, and follow-up appointments.
Perform high-quality intraoral scans using digital scanners (iTero, 3Shape, or similar).
Take accurate alginate and PVS impressions when needed.
Capture high-quality intraoral and extraoral clinical photographs.
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials before each procedure.
Maintain strict sterilization and infection control protocols following OSHA and CDC guidelines.
Take digital radiographs (if certified).
Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
Ensure operatories remain clean, organized, and fully stocked.
Deliver outstanding patient care by creating a welcoming, comfortable, and professional experience.
Assist with patient education before and after treatment.
Collaborate with the clinical team to maintain efficient daily workflow.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant.
Experience in cosmetic and restorative dentistry is highly preferred.
Experience with Invisalign cases is preferred.
Proficiency with digital intraoral scanners.
Experience taking traditional dental impressions (alginate and/or PVS).
Current Dental Assistant certification as required by the State of Florida.
X-ray certification preferred.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-end dental practice.
Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Digital Smile Design (DSD) workflows.
Knowledge of veneers, crowns, implant restorations, and aesthetic dentistry.
Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix, Open Dental, or similar.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Experience with same-day dentistry or digital workflows is a plus.
