Duties
Assist the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and endodontics
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection prevention management protocols
Take and develop dental x-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety following HIPAA regulations and infection control standards
Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with clinical confidentiality policies
Perform chairside assisting duties including taking vital signs, medical history updates, and explaining procedures to patients to enhance their comfort and understanding
Process dental instruments through proper sterilization procedures and maintain a sterile environment using aseptic techniques
Support patient management by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and providing excellent patient care throughout their visit
Requirements
Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current licensure in your region
Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures
Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient patient record management
Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dental care
Knowledge of dental equipment operation including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools
Expertise in infection prevention management, sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection control practices
Ability to perform dental assisting tasks such as four-handed dentistry, oral surgery support, endodontics assistance, and prosthodontics support confidently
