Dental Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator
Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Practice – South Miami, FL
Job Type: Full-Time (36+ hrs/week) or Part-Time
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
We are a well-established oral and maxillofacial surgery practice in South Miami seeking a Dental Assistant / Patient Care Coordinator to join our team. This role is ideal for a motivated, patient-focused dental assistant who enjoys both clinical and patient coordination responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Assist doctor during oral surgery procedures
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms; follow sterilization protocols
Educate patients on procedures, treatment plans, and post-op care
Coordinate and schedule patient appointments
Communicate with patients, referral offices, and team members
Perform post-operative follow-up calls
Maintain accurate patient records in dental software
Requirements:
Certified Dental Assistant (Required)
Minimum 3 years dental assisting experience
Oral surgery experience preferred
Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
Computer proficiency required
English required; Spanish preferred

About South Florida Jaws and Facial Surgery
Mosa Oral Surgery has been serving South Florida since 2005 with three Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons offering a full scope of surgery from corrective jaw surgery to wisdom tooth removal. They provide specialized surgical care, including diagnosis and treatment of facial pain, injuries, TMJ disorders, dental implant procedures, and bone grafting. The staff is trained in I.V. sedation for patient comfort and the practice focuses on impeccable customer service.
