We’re seeking an experienced RDA who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-centered, multi-specialty environment.
The ideal candidate:
Must have 2-3 years hands-on clinical experience
Is confident supporting patients of all ages, from young children to adults
Brings a gentle, engaging, and reassuring chairside manner, especially when working with children
Is adaptable and eager to assist across different specialties and providers
Thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented setting
Experience in private practices is a plus, especially in environments that emphasize personalized care, strong teamwork, and creating positive patient experiences.
We’re looking for someone who combines strong clinical skills with enthusiasm, compassion, and a commitment to making every visit smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable for patients and their families.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, and orthodontics.
Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Take dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
Manage electronic medical records using EMR systems, preferably Eaglesoft and Dolphin, ensuring accurate documentation of patient information and treatment plans.
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and assisting with patient comfort and anxiety management.
Perform vital signs assessment and medical imaging as needed to support comprehensive patient evaluations.
Support administrative tasks including dental reception duties, appointment scheduling, and maintaining organized medical documentation.
Operate advanced equipment such as 3D scanners and Itero machine
Maintain strict infection control standards through proper sterilization techniques and knowledge of anatomy to support safe clinical practices.
Collaborate effectively within a team practicing four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow efficiency and patient outcomes.
Skills
Proficiency with EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Dolphin for managing medical records and documentation.
Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and compliance in all aspects of patient care.
Experience with X-ray procedures, medical imaging, and 3D scanning technology within a dental setting.
Expertise in chairside assisting across various specialties including orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics and pediatric dentistry.
Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques essential for safe clinical operations.
Ability to perform vital signs assessment accurately and support pediatric patients with specialized care needs.
Excellent communication skills to serve as an effective dental receptionist when needed and foster positive patient relationships.
Some knowledge of medical documentation standards including but not limited to medical coding for insurance processing.
