Coastal Pediatric Dentistry is a prominent local pediatric dental office in beautiful San Luis Obispo with an immediate need for a full-time Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to add to our dynamic team. Job Description:
The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) works on behalf of the dentists and patients helping to assure an extremely high level of professional excellence in oral health care delivery. The RDA is responsible for providing patients with a positive dental visit and ensuring that treatment flows smoothly. The RDA plays a critical role by providing top notch patient care, supporting dental care delivery, assisting in the performance of dental procedures and helping carry out the day-to-day operations of the back office.

Minimum Qualifications:
Current California RDA License or willingness to obtain.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.

Demonstrated competence in independently applying judgment and discretion in handling day to day activities.

Highly reliable and able be present and ready to provide exceptional patient care and customer service on a regularly scheduled basis.

Desire to have fun and interact with kids and families.

Working knowledge of Paw Patrol, Avengers, Octonauts, etc. (On the job training is provided!)
Excellent computer skills including, Microsoft Word and Excel.

Ability to create balloon animals or other awesome side tricks (or the desire to learn such skills).

High School diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.

Minimum 3 years of progressive, responsible customer service and/or administrative experience, preferably in a medical or dental setting.

Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills using tact, patience, and courtesy with a positive, up-beat attitude.

Ability to pay a high level of attention to accuracy and details.

Experience with medical / dental software a plus.

Complete and show proof of completion of a basic life support course offered by an instructor approved by the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association.

Physical Demands
Dexterity of hands, fingers, and wrist to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.

Brisk walking throughout office to communicate information in a timely manner.

Sitting or standing for an extended period of time.

Physical agility to lift 20 pounds to shoulder height.

Physical agility to lift, carry, push, or pull objects.

Coastal Pediatric Dentistry provides excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement program and profit-sharing bonus, paid sick leave/vacation and holidays. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of educational and employment verification, and reference check, as required.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
