Job Description
Job Summary:
Dr. Chelsea Keck and her team are looking to add a dental assistant to our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and help to ensure a smooth patient experience. Patient hours are Monday 9-5, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 8-4.
Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient treatment
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist the dentist during procedures as needed
- Take dental x-rays
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records
Qualifications:
- Certification or associate degree in Dental Assisting
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization methods
- X-Ray certification preferred
- Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control
- Familiarity with Dentrix software is a plus
- Understanding of Clear aligners is a plus
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy practices
- Ability to take vital signs and assist in patient assessment
Wage is considered based on experience.
