Job Description
Looking for a career doing work you love that helps your neighbors? Sonrisas Dental Health will provide on the job training if you do not have dental assisting experience. We are looking for new as well as experienced Registered Dental Assistants. Come work for Sonrisas and bring dental care to the most vulnerable in our community!
Sonrisas Dental Health, Inc. (SDH) is a non-profit dental center dedicated to providing access to quality dental care and oral health education to our community. We provide these services with dignity, respect and compassion. SDH improves the health of our community members through culturally sensitive, integrated care, with a focus on disease prevention. SDH is a dental home for our patients, providing preventative dental care, mobile dental, general dentistry, geriatric dentistry, pediatric dentistry, sedation dentistry, and accommodations for patients with special needs and disabilities. Seventy percent of SDH’s patients are low-income.
We are seeking an individual who is responsible and motivated with good communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a friendly personality. Dental Assistant duties include greeting patients, assisting dentists during procedures (taking x-rays and other DA duties, preparing rooms for treatment, and instrument sterilization. Full-time and part-time positions available.
Licensure/ Education:
High school diploma or GED required.
Completion of an accredited course in dental assisting
Active CA licensure, x-ray license
Bilingual Spanish preferred
Experience with dental software preferred; We use OpenDental
