We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to support our two-doctor practice, specializing in both general and cosmetic dentistry.
In this full-time role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our patients have the best dental experience possible. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service alongside our beloved office dog, Chai, a golden doodle who brings comfort to our patients, especially those with anxiety.
Ideal candidates will possess a high school diploma and have at least three years of experience in dental assisting. An x-ray certification is required. In our tightly-knit team, we emphasize growth, collaboration, and fun, ensuring that our workplace feels like a family.
Duties
Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including examinations, fillings, and extractions.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize 3D scanners for creating digital impressions when necessary.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry.
Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed.
Skills
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and knowledge of dental terminology.
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
Experience with infection control practices and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety.
Ability to operate dental equipment, including 3D scanners, effectively.
Attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and team members professionally.
Well -organized and reliable
