About Zen Dental Studio
Zen Dental Studio is a modern, patient-centric practice with a beautiful, highly-rated, hi-tech facility in Mountain View. We've built our team around a shared commitment to clinical excellence, genuine patient care, and craftsmanship in everything we do — from the moment a patient walks in to the final follow-up after a procedure.
This is a special opportunity to join a practice where your work is noticed, your growth is supported, and your contribution to the patient experience is genuinely valued.
About the role
As a Registered Dental Assistant/Dental Assistant at Zen Dental Studio, you'll work side-by-side with our doctors and hygienists to deliver an exceptional clinical experience for every patient. You'll be hands-on with modern technology, involved in a wide range of procedures, and trusted as a key part of the clinical team.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing four-handed chairside assistance across general, restorative, cosmetic, and surgical procedures
Performing iTero intraoral scans and supporting Invisalign workflows from case setup through delivery
Preparing operatories, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring strict adherence to infection control protocols
Taking and processing digital radiographs and CBCT imaging as needed
Supporting digital dentistry workflows end-to-end, including iTero scanning, case design, and in-house 3D printing of surgical guides, night guards, and chairside appliances
Assisting with surgical procedures, including implant placement and extractions
Communicating warmly and clearly with patients before, during, and after appointments — answering questions, easing nerves, and ensuring they feel cared for
Supporting accurate clinical documentation and treatment planning workflows
Collaborating with front-office and clinical team members to keep the day running smoothly
What we're looking for
We're looking for a dental assistant who pairs strong clinical skills with the personal qualities that make a real difference to patients and the team.
Qualifications:
Active California RDA license in good standing
Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience
Proficiency with iTero scanning (strongly preferred)
Experience with Invisalign workflows (a significant plus)
Surgical assisting experience, particularly with implants and oral surgery (a significant plus)
Comfort with modern clinical technology — digital radiography, intraoral scanning, and digital practice management systems
Current BLS/CPR certification
X-ray certification
Personal qualities:
Compassionate, kind, and gentle — patients feel safer and calmer because of how you show up
Patient-oriented — you anticipate needs, answer questions thoroughly, and never let a small detail slip
A team player — you support your colleagues, take ownership when needed, and contribute to a positive clinical environment
A growth mindset — you're curious, open to feedback, and genuinely interested in learning new skills and refining your craft
Composed in a busy environment — you maintain warmth, accuracy, and attention to detail even on full-schedule days
Aligned with our values — you take pride in your work, treat colleagues with respect, and believe in going above and beyond to make patients feel special
What we offer
We believe in treating our team the way we want our team to treat our patients — with care, respect, and generosity. We'll build a compensation and benefits package thoughtfully tailored to the right candidate, and you can expect:
Compensation and benefits:
Competitive base compensation
Medical and dental coverage
Retirement benefits
Commuting stipend for team members commuting in from San Francisco
Consistent, stable hours
Clinical environment:
A beautiful, modern, highly-rated facility in Mountain View
State-of-the-art technology including iTero scanners, digital radiography, and CBCT
In-house 3D printing for surgical guides, night guards, and chairside appliances — true cutting-edge digital dentistry, hands-on
Highest-rated materials and modern clinical workflows
A skilled, tenured clinical team to learn alongside
Culture and growth:
Frequent team lunches and a genuinely collaborative atmosphere
Mentorship and on-the-job learning across a broad scope of procedures
A workplace that rewards initiative, recognizes great work, and invests in the people who invest in us
Leadership that listens — we welcome input on how to make the practice better
