Job Description
Yuba City Family Dental Group is looking for a Registered Dental Assistant, RDA, to join our team part-time, two days per week.

This is a great opportunity for an RDA who is looking for a steady weekday schedule, competitive hourly pay, and a professional dental office environment. We are an established general dental practice looking for someone who is dependable, patient-focused, and comfortable supporting doctors chairside.

The right candidate should have strong chairside assisting skills, good communication, and a positive team attitude. We are looking for someone who can help the clinical day run smoothly while making patients feel comfortable and cared for.

Position Details
Location: Yuba City, CA
Schedule: 2 days per week
Hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay: $28 to $30 per hour, depending on experience
License Required: Active California RDA license
Office Type: Private general dental office
Responsibilities
Assist doctors chairside during general dental procedures
Prepare treatment rooms before patient appointments
Take dental X-rays within California RDA scope
Assist with exams, restorative procedures, extractions, impressions, scans, temporaries, and other general dentistry procedures
Help with charting, treatment documentation, and clinical notes
Follow sterilization, infection control, OSHA, and safety protocols
Turn over rooms efficiently between patients
Keep operatories clean, stocked, and ready for the day
Communicate clearly and kindly with patients
Help patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for
Work well with doctors, front office, and back office team members
Stay organized and proactive during the clinical day
Qualifications
Active California Registered Dental Assistant license required
Dental assisting experience preferred
Experience in a general dental office preferred
Comfortable taking dental X-rays
Knowledge of sterilization and infection control
Dependable, punctual, and professional
Friendly and calm with patients
Able to work well as part of a team
Open to learning office-specific systems and doctor preferences
Preferred Experience
Open Dental or similar dental software

Intraoral scanning

Temporary crowns
General dentistry chairside assisting
