Job Description
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic Perdiatric dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices, as well as excellent communication and team members. We Use OPEN DENTAL as our patient management software.
Duties
Able to carry out coronal polishing and apply topical fluoride.
Able to take Orthodontic photos for records
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
Take and develop dental radiographs (digital and film X-rays) as directed by the dentist.
Maintain accurate medical documentation and update patient medical records as needed.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care instructions.
Manage infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Monitor vital signs when necessary to ensure patient safety during procedures.
Able to do Pit and Fissure sealants
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Registered Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting is preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
Familiarity with infection control standards and practices in a clinical environment.
Experience with medical documentation and maintaining patient records accurately.
Strong interpersonal and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Certification in dental assisting and relevant training is mandatory.
