Job Description
Job Title: Dental Assistant
Job Summary:
Bay Park Pediatric Dentistry is a start up pediatric dental office seeking a part-time Registered Dental Assistant.
At Bay Park Pediatric Dentistry, our mission is to create a positive and nurturing dental experience for children in our community. We are dedicated to promoting preventive oral health, instilling lifelong dental habits, and building strong relationships with our young patients and their families. Through compassionate care, education, and a fun-filled environment, we strive to empower children to maintain healthy smiles and embrace dental visits with confidence.
We are seeking an individual who can accept that every day at work will be its own fulfilling adventure, filled with making a positive impact on each child's visit to our practice. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office by performing various patient care and administrative tasks. Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures, and sterilize instruments for proper workflow
- Take diagnostic dental X-rays and photos (periapicals, bitewings, panoramic, intraoral)
- Maintain accurate patient records using Open Dental software and help with charting
- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following procedures
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocol
- Assist with marketing and social media projects will be a major bonus!
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year dental experience
- Active RDA license or a plan to get license in the near future
- Possess excellent customer service and communication skills, especially with families and children
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry preferred
