Duties
Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly using infection control and aseptic techniques
Take high-quality dental x-rays and intraoral images, including 3D scans, while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols
Manage patient records using Eaglesoft to ensure accurate documentation and coding, while maintaining strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies
Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
Monitor vital signs when necessary
Support administrative tasks by acting as a dental receptionist-scheduling appointments, updating medical records and assisting with patient check-in/out processes
Maintain a clean, organized clinic environment by following infection control standards and ensuring that all dental tools are properly sterilized
Qualifications
Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license or certification required, including XRAY certification; additional certifications in coronal polishing and nitrous oxide monitoring are highly desirable
Skilled in chairside assisting techniques to enhance workflow efficiency; ability to perform and support dentistry practices with patience and professionalism
Proficiency with Eaglesoft is a plus but not a requirement
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy and medical terminology to communicate effectively with team members and patients
Knowledge of dental anatomy, oral surgery procedures, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry
Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety.

Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages including pediatrics; ability to explain procedures clearly and compassionately
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records management and confidentiality standards in healthcare settings
