Job Overview
Are you an experienced RDA who is looking to fill out your schedule or work part time? Are you dedicated to superior patient care, education and teamwork? Are you looking for a team that will support and encourage you and become your next work family?
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our busy dental practice two days a week (Monday and Friday) with the opportunity to cover other shifts if desired when other team members are off. The ideal candidate will have two years experience chairside and have knowledge of Dentrix, iTero and the Solea laser, and have a positive and professional attitude. Responsibilities
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with safety protocols
Assist the dentist during various procedures
Take and develop dental radiographs
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort
Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
Assist with inventory management of dental supplies and materials
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental practice
Proficiency with dental software Dentrix preferred
Knowledge of pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
Familiarity with Solea Laser technology is a plus
Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
Excellent communication skills and compassionate patient care approach
Certification in Dental Assisting in the province of Alberta
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
