Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Dental Assistant/Receptionist to join our vibrant dental team. In this dual role, you will be the friendly face greeting patients at the front desk while also providing essential clinical support during dental procedures. Your expertise in dental assisting, patient management, and administrative duties will ensure a smooth, efficient, and welcoming experience for every patient. Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and manage appointment scheduling using patient management software such as softdent
Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments and sterilize equipment following infection prevention management protocols
Assist dentists chairside during procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques
Record detailed medical and dental histories, vital signs, and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies
Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing dental health
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar clinical role within a general dentistry
Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and dental equipment operation, including X-ray machines
Hands-on knowledge of infection control standards, dental sterilization procedures, and healthcare infection prevention protocols
Proficiency with patient management software such as softdent for scheduling, billing, and record keeping
Ability to perform dental assisting duties including chairside support, instrument processing, and oral surgery assistance with confidence
Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dentistry
Excellent communication skills for effective patient management and team collaboration in a fast-paced environment
