Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our vibrant dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure clinical efficiency, and uphold the highest standards of patient care. Your expertise will support general dentistry and specialized procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. You will be instrumental in maintaining a welcoming environment while adhering to strict infection prevention protocols and clinical confidentiality policies. Duties
Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, oral surgery, and pediatric treatments
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental materials, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly according to dental sterilization procedures
Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while following radiation safety guidelines and maintaining accurate medical documentation
Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality and data security
Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient evaluations
Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions with clear communication of dental terminology
Maintain clinical cleanliness by following infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection prevention protocols
Skills
Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and chairside assisting across various specialties
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and dental instrument processing
Experience with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for accurate medical records management
Ability to operate dental x-ray equipment safely and effectively while adhering to radiation safety standards
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with children in a clinical setting
Expertise in infection prevention management, including sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques
Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with the dental team and provide outstanding patient care
