Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure optimal patient comfort, and support the delivery of high-quality dental care across various specialties including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Responsibilities
Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures by preparing and passing instruments efficiently using four-handed dentistry techniques
Take and develop dental X-rays while adhering to strict HIPAA regulations and aseptic techniques
Manage patient records accurately using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, including updating medical history and treatment notes
Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures
Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments, disinfecting operatories, and following OSHA guidelines
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and assisting the dental receptionist with patient check-in/out processes
Operate dental imaging equipment including 3D scanners and medical imaging devices for comprehensive diagnostics
Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and various specialties like prosthodontics and endodontics to facilitate effective communication within the team
Qualifications
Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current licensing in your state or region
Proven experience in dental assisting within a general or specialty dental clinic setting
Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation
Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry and pediatrics
Ability to operate X-ray machines safely and accurately; experience with 3D scanners is a plus
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with dentists, hygienists, administrative staff, and patients
