Responsibilities
Provide chairside assistance during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.

Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection prevention management and aseptic techniques.

Take high-quality dental x-rays and medical imaging while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.

Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and compliance with clinical confidentiality policies.

Assist with patient management by taking vital signs, reviewing medical histories, and explaining treatment procedures clearly using dental terminology.

Support the dental team with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, and coordinating with the dental receptionist.

Maintain a safe and sterile clinical environment by following infection control protocols and dental sterilization procedures.

Operate advanced dental equipment including 3D scanners, X-ray machines, and other diagnostic tools to aid in comprehensive patient care.

Facilitate four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency during procedures and enhance patient comfort.

Ensure proper processing of dental instruments and materials according to healthcare infection prevention standards.

Experience
Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant.

Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing medical records and documentation efficiently.

Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures related to general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery.

Hands-on experience with dental x-ray techniques, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technology.

Strong understanding of infection prevention management practices including aseptic technique and sterilization protocols.

Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and support patient care throughout their visit.

Excellent communication skills to work seamlessly alongside dentists, hygienists, receptionists, and patients while maintaining professionalism at all times.
