Overview
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and support our dental professionals in delivering exceptional oral health services. As an RDA, you will be instrumental in ensuring smooth clinic operations, maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene, and fostering positive patient experiences from start to finish.
Duties
Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient environment for procedures.
Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including examinations, restorations, and surgical interventions.
Take and develop diagnostic radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety protocols.
Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR management) accurately, including documenting patient histories, treatment notes, and medical documentation.
Perform blood sampling, vital signs measurement, and report patient conditions to the dental team for optimal care planning.
Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and health promotion strategies.
Handle manual tasks such as patient positioning, chairside assistance, and ensuring proper handling of medical supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
Valid registration as a Dental Assistant with current licensure or certification recognized by relevant dental authorities.
Proven experience in clinical settings with a focus on dental procedures; additional experience in critical care or acute care environments is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical documentation standards, and diagnostic radiology procedures.
Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and blood sampling techniques.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EHR management) systems and clinic management software.
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient service and health education effectively.
Experience working in plastic surgery or surgical clinics is a plus; familiarity with manual handling techniques ensures safety for both patients and staff.
