Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team as a second assistant. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, support patient care, and ensure smooth clinical operations. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient management will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for. Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, removeable, restorative and pediatric dentistry.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management protocols.
Take and develop dental x-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring accuracy and patient safety.
Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) system, Open Dental, while maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
Perform vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care.
Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment instructions, and preventive care strategies.
Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to aseptic technique and infection control standards aligned with healthcare infection prevention and control expertise.
Qualifications
Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure in the applicable region.
Proven experience in general dentistry with familiarity in pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental sterilization procedures.
Proficiency with dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and dental instruments processing tools.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical procedures.
Experience using patient management software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Open Dental for scheduling, documentation, and record keeping.
Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages while demonstrating professionalism in clinical confidentiality policies.
Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards including aseptic technique and medical imaging protocols.
Excellent communication skills with other employees and gets along well others
Follows up on tasks assigned and finishes each task with care.
