Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Full-Time | $20.00–$27.00 / hour, DOE | Paid Time Off
Cobb Dental Group is hiring an experienced Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support the doctor chairside and keep clinical operations running smoothly in a busy, patient-centered practice. You'll handle prep, sterilization, X-rays, and patient care with the confidence of someone who's done it before and who takes pride in a clean, organized, efficient operatory.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Provide skilled chairside assistance during general and restorative procedures.
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment before appointments.
Seat and prepare patients, helping create a comfortable, professional experience.
Take diagnostic-quality digital X-rays per applicable regulations and office protocols.
Perform RDA duties and allowable functions per California requirements and your current licenses/certifications.
Maintain sterilization and infection-control procedures; clean and disinfect treatment rooms between patients.
Keep operatories organized and clinical supplies properly stocked, flagging needs before shortages occur.
Assist the doctor with charting, treatment documentation, and clinical records.
Review post-operative instructions with patients as directed by the doctor.
Assist with lab cases, impressions, models, and related clinical procedures within scope.
Support efficient patient flow and help keep the clinical schedule on time.
Communicate professionally with patients, doctors, front-office staff, and the broader team.
Follow all applicable OSHA, HIPAA, infection-control, and workplace safety requirements.
Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold Cobb Dental Group's standards of care.
WHAT YOU BRING
Current California RDA license in good standing — required.
Current California-approved radiography certification, as applicable.
Current CPR/BLS certification.
Working knowledge of California infection-control requirements and dental office safety procedures.
Strong chairside assisting and clinical organization skills.
Excellent communication and patient-service skills.
Dependable, punctual, professional, and team-oriented.
Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities without losing attention to detail.
Experience in a busy general dental practice preferred.
Curve Dental Practice Management Software experience preferred.
Bilingual in Spanish (conversational and healthcare terminology) a plus, not required.
SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION
Full-time. Monday - Friday
$20.00–$27.00 per hour, depending on experience, certifications, and demonstrated clinical skills.
Paid time off included.
