About Us:
Join our vibrant, patient-centered dental practice in the heart of Takoma Park! We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional care in a welcoming environment. As we expand our team, we seek a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant with a DC Dental Assistant License to help us provide outstanding dental services.
Duties:
Assist hygienist during various procedures
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, polish, setting up supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards.
Take and interpret X-rays, including iTero scanning, ensuring accurate documentation for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration before procedures to ensure patient safety.
Manage electronic medical records on Dentrix Ascend, to accurately document patient information and treatment details.
Support administrative tasks such as dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and managing medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on post-operative care and oral hygiene.
Ensure a warm and comfortable experience for all patients.
Skills
Proficiency with Dentrix Ascend, for efficient record management
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols
Experience with general dentistry procedures
Ability to operate advanced dental technology including iTero scanners and digital X-ray equipment
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
