Job Description
Overview
We are an independently owned (Non- Corporate) dental office in Helena looking for a full time Registered Dental Hygienist. This position will be Monday-Thursday 8am to 5pm with lunch from 12-1.
You will be joining an office with long term employees that work as a team to create a combination of amazing patient care with work/family balance in mind.
We are looking for a hygienist who is reliable, takes pride in their work, and has a great attitude. The ideal candidate would be able to do some light assisting when needed and Eagle Soft knowledge would be a bonus but not a requirement. Salary is competitive and determined by experience level.

Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, including brushing, flossing, and preventive care strategies.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow and patient comfort.
Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Review and update medical records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and secure documentation review.
Support infection control practices by following sterilization procedures and maintaining a sterile environment.
Monitor patient vital signs before, during, and after treatment to ensure safety throughout procedures.
Assist with dental assisting duties including chairside support, documentation review, and medical coding as needed.
Qualifications
Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations.
Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings preferred; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Proficiency with dental office software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; EMR systems experience is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques.
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics.
Ability to perform chairside assisting tasks efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor.
Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, medical coding, and documentation review processes.
Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient information at all times.
