Job Overview
Join the established private practice of Dr. Hudgens & Dr. Benson as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become an important part of a team dedicated to providing exceptional, personalized dental care. In this role, you will provide comprehensive preventive hygiene care while taking the time to educate and connect with each patient. Responsibilities
Provide thorough preventive dental hygiene services, including scaling, polishing, periodontal assessments, and patient-specific preventive care.
Review medical and dental histories and communicate relevant findings to the dentist to support comprehensive patient care.
Educate patients of all ages on effective brushing, flossing, periodontal health, and other preventive practices tailored to their individual needs.
Build trusting, long-term relationships with patients through compassionate communication and attentive care.
Take and develop dental X-rays and utilize intraoral imaging as appropriate.
Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation in the practice management/EHR system.
Follow established infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
Collaborate closely with Dr. Hudgens and the dental team to provide coordinated, high-quality patient care.
Help create a welcoming, professional office environment where patients feel comfortable and well cared for.
Maintain a high standard of professionalism, clinical judgment, and patient confidentiality at all times.
Requirements
Current state license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing.
Experience in a general or private dental practice preferred.
Strong clinical hygiene skills and knowledge of preventive and periodontal care.
Comfortable taking dental radiographs and using common dental technology and equipment.
Familiarity with dental practice managment software Eaglesoft
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine interest in patient education and relationship-building.
Commitment to infection prevention, sterilization procedures, HIPAA, and patient confidentiality.
Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively as part of a close-knit private practice team.
A warm, professional manner and a patient-first approach.
