Registered Dental Hygienist

```Duties```

- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including teeth cleaning, scaling, and polishing

- Take and develop dental x-rays and other diagnostic images

- Conduct oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral health care recommendations

- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide sedation as needed

- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing instruments, suctioning, and charting

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using dental software

- Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment

- Adhere to medical documentation standards for accurate recordkeeping

- Valid state dental hygiene license

- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program

- Proficiency in using dental office software

- Knowledge of dental anatomy, oral health conditions, and treatment options

- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and interpretation

- Understanding of infection control protocols and aseptic technique

- Ability to take accurate vital signs and perform basic medical coding
