Registered Dental Hygienist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on oral health, and supporting the overall patient experience. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly, professional environment where patient care and customer service are prioritized. The position requires a licensed Dental Hygienist with strong clinical skills and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, prophy, alginate impressions
Take dental radiographs as needed
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
Assist the dentist during recall examinations
Maintain accurate patient records
Provide patient comfort and reassurance throughout treatment sessions
Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to patient care, including scheduling appointments and updating medical histories
Stay current with advancements in dental hygiene techniques and industry best practices
Knowledge of IPAC and sterilizing instruments
Knowledge of infection control and day end room disinfection.

Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist
Experience with Logitech/Paradigm and Carestream dental office management software is preferred
Previous experience in a dental office setting, including dental assisting or hygiene roles, is preferred
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment and maintain professionalism at all times
Hrs Mondays 12noon -8pm, alternating Wednesdays 11am-5pm and one Saturday per month 10am-5pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00-$58.00 per hour
