Wednesday: 9-6PM
Thursday: 8:30-5PM
Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital contributor to delivering exceptional patient care! In this energetic role, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on oral health, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your expertise will help promote healthy smiles and foster positive patient experiences in a fast-paced, friendly environment. Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including Scaling and Root Planing as necessary
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options to promote lifelong oral health.
Take digital radiographs, including use of a Pan/CBCT as needed.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Dentrix Ascend, ensuring HIPAA compliance at all times.
Review documentation for accuracy, update patient charts, and assist with medical coding for billing purposes.
Skills
Proficiency in dental office software: Dentrix Ascend.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques.
Experience working with pediatric dentistry patients and understanding of pediatric-specific care requirements.
Familiarity with medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and medical imaging techniques relevant to dental practice.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and security of patient information.
Effective communication skills to educate patients clearly about dental procedures and oral health practices. Join us in creating healthier smiles!
