Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering exceptional dental care by performing professional cleaning procedures, patient education, and assessments in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health and ensure a positive experience for every patient. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your skills in general and pediatric dentistry while working with state-of-the-art dental technology.
Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to maintain optimal oral health.
Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Open Dental.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring adherence to infection prevention protocols and aseptic techniques.
Educate patients on proper dental care practices, including oral hygiene instructions, preventive measures, and post-treatment care.
Assist with chairside procedures through four-handed dentistry techniques, supporting dentists during examinations and treatments.
Manage medical records accurately while maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Monitor infection control standards by sterilizing equipment, managing healthcare infection prevention measures, and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols.
Collaborate with the dental team to review documentation, assist with medical coding, and ensure accurate recordkeeping for all patient interactions.
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental or healthcare setting, preferably with exposure to pediatric dentistry and general dentistry procedures.
Proficiency in EHR/EHR systems such as Open Dental is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to oral health.
Familiarity with dental equipment operation, X-ray techniques, and infection prevention management practices.
Excellent communication skills for client interaction and patient education across diverse age groups including pediatrics.
Ability to perform patient care tasks efficiently while adhering to HIPAA compliance standards and maintaining confidentiality.
Prior experience with medical imaging, vital signs assessment, and documentation review is advantageous.

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
