Registered Dental Hygienist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team. The position is for a fixed 14 month maternity leave, July 9/2026 - Sept 20/2027. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent patient care abilities, and a passion for promoting oral health. This role offers an opportunity to work in a supportive environment where patient education and comfort are prioritized. The position involves providing preventive dental care, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and supporting the overall operations of the dental practice.

Office hours are Monday- Thursday 8:30am - 6pm. No evenings or weekends required.

Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies
Assist in diagnosing periodontal issues and recommending appropriate treatments
Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure efficient patient flow
Maintain accurate patient records
Provide customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns professionally
Uphold infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment
Requirements
Valid licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist
Experience in a dental office setting
Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Ability to work well within a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail and patient comfort
Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
