Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and support the overall function of the dental team. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment committed to patient health and comfort, utilizing advanced dental technology and fostering a positive experience for all patients.
Duties
Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
Assist in patient examinations by recording medical histories and vital signs
Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to ensure comprehensive patient care
Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix or similar dental management software
Prepare treatment rooms for procedures, ensuring sterilization and infection control protocols are followed
Support pediatric patients with gentle care techniques and effective communication
Provide customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
Assist with orthodontic procedures or other specialized treatments if qualified
Requirements
Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist
Experience with ABELDent or comparable dental office management software
Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
Experience in orthodontics, pediatrics, or general dentistry preferred
Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations
Previous experience in a dental office setting is highly desirable
Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient comfort and education
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Pay: $40.00-$52.00 per hour
