Registered Dental Hygienist

We are a modern, patient-centered practice in Corvallis, Oregon. We are looking to add a skilled hygienist to our already amazing dental team. Knowledge of Dentrix is a plus, but not required.

Our opening is for Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm. We are looking for someone who is patient oriented and dependable. We offer competitive pay and benefits and a friendly, relaxed work environment.

Responsibilities
Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before and during their hygiene appointment.

Sterilize dental instruments properly.

Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history.

Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis.

Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride).

Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques).

Digital x-rays.

Maintain thorough documentation and charts on each patient.

Skills
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist.

In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment.

Reliable and outstanding communication skills.

A calm, patient and friendly personality.

Attention to detail, thorough and runs on time.

Valid license to practice.

Knowledge of Dentrix is a plus, but not required.
