Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in the overall management of patient health. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in educating patients about oral hygiene and maintaining a comfortable atmosphere in the clinic.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and assessments for patients 14+.
Perform vital signs monitoring and medical imaging as needed.
Maintain accurate dental records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies.
Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols within the dental office.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care, including chairside assisting during various procedures.
Skills
Proficiency in Dentrix software for dental practice management.
Familiarity with general dentistry procedures and terminology.
Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to dental health.
Experience with dental insurance coding and documentation review processes.
Strong communication skills and ability to explain treatment recommendations to patients.
Ability to work with special needs and highly anxious patients.
Ability to assess patient needs effectively and provide exceptional patient care.
