Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to ensure safe and effective treatment plans
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health
Assist with chairside procedures in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques
Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring accurate positioning and safety protocols are followed
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in an electronic health record (EHR) system like Carestack, complying with HIPAA regulations
Follow infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a sterile environment
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials
Proven experience in dental office settings, including familiarity with dental terminology
Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control standards, and aseptic techniques
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient needs
Looking for Thursday and Friday
