Our thriving, patient-focused dental practice in Mercedes, TX, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated team. Core Responsibilities:
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, prophylaxis, and polishing to help patients maintain optimal oral health.
Assess patient oral health conditions, review health history, and provide preventive dental care.
Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene techniques, including effective brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling.
Perform and develop high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays) as necessary for diagnosis and treatment planning.
Perform non-surgical periodontal therapy, including scaling and root planing.
Administer preventative treatments such as sealants and fluoride applications.
Meticulously document all patient care, treatments, and follow-up plans accurately and completely in patient records.
Effectively communicate with our diverse patient population using both English and Spanish.
Qualifications and Skills:
Current Texas State Dental Hygiene License in good standing.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is Preferred.
Proven ability to work independently and as a collaborative member of a dental team.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for making patients feel comfortable and well-informed.
Strong commitment to providing high-quality care in an efficient and timely manner.
Experience with digital X-rays and electronic dental records is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
