Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and become a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in a welcoming, professional environment. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to promote oral health, perform thorough dental cleanings, and educate patients on maintaining healthy smiles. Duties
Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and dental charts to ensure safe and effective treatment
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs
Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and comfort
Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix
Follow infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures, to uphold the highest standards of safety and hygiene
Qualifications
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice
Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry preferred, with familiarity in pediatric dentistry techniques a plus
Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate documentation and billing
Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control practices, HIPAA regulations, and medical records management
Skilled in using EMR systems such as Softdent for documentation review and patient data management
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly
Experience with dental assisting tasks, chairside assisting, and medical imaging enhances your ability to support the dental team effectively
