Responsibilities
Update and maintain health histories
Provide preventive and therapeutic dental care for patients of all ages
Perform prophylaxis and periodontal maintenance using EMS Airflow and hand scaling
Take digital dental radiographs
Apply fluoride and sealants as indicated
Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
Assist in the diagnosis of periodontal disease, caries detection, and identification of failing restorations.

Conduct oral cancer screenings
Maintain clean, organized treatment rooms and follow infection control protocols
Document patient care accurately
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program
Maine Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work independently and collaboratively
Commitment to continuing education
Local anesthetic certification encouraged but not required
