Registered Dental Hygienist

Duties
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and dental examinations
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
Assist with chairside procedures such as applying fluoride treatments or sealants
Maintain accurate medical records and document treatment details following HIPAA guidelines
Use dental software systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for charting, scheduling, and record management
Follow infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure a sterile environment during all procedures
Experience
Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification
Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments preferred
Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable
Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to accurately document patient information
Experience with pediatric dentistry, including working with children’s unique needs and behaviors
Strong understanding of infection control standards, including sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques
Ability to perform dental assisting tasks such as chairside support during various procedures

Pay: $59.36 - $71.49 per hour
