Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)

Location: Torrance, California | Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time | Reports To: Office Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

Digital Smiles is seeking a skilled and passionate Registered Dental Hygienist to join our growing team in Southern California. As an RDH at Digital Smiles, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional preventive care while working alongside a collaborative team of doctors and in-house specialists in a cutting-edge digital dentistry environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform thorough dental cleanings, prophylaxis, and periodontal therapy for patients of all ages

Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments including periodontal charting and oral cancer screenings

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and personalized preventive care strategies

Partner with doctors and in-house specialists to develop and present individualized treatment plans

Document accurate and complete patient records using practice management software

Utilize digital dentistry tools and technologies consistent with Digital Smiles' standards of care

Support hygiene recall systems in collaboration with the scheduling coordinator to ensure continuity of care

Maintain a safe, clean, and OSHA-compliant clinical environment at all times

Build lasting, trust-based relationships with patients to support long-term oral health outcomes

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Current and active RDH license in good standing in the state of California

Current CPR/BLS certification

Minimum 2 years of clinical dental hygiene experience preferred

Proficiency with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar)

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Genuine enthusiasm for patient care and team collaboration
