WAGE NEGOTIABLE DEPENDENT ON NEED FOR HEALTH INSURANCE
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and educating patients on oral hygiene practices. This role requires a strong commitment to patient comfort and safety while adhering to all relevant regulations and protocols.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories and performing oral examinations.
Provide dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth to maintain optimal oral health.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Document patient care accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and practice policies.
Assist in infection control procedures to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
Collaborate with the dental team to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Maintain a clean and organized dental office environment, including sterilization of instruments.
Support pediatric dentistry efforts by providing gentle care and reassurance to younger patients.
Skills
Proficient in patient assessment techniques and documentation review.
Knowledgeable in infection control protocols within a dental setting.
Experience in general dentistry practices with a focus on pediatric dentistry is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages.
Ability to work collaboratively within a dental office team while maintaining professionalism.
Familiarity with dental assisting tasks is an advantage but not mandatory.
