Job Description
```Duties```
Monday and thursday 830-6 pm
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth
- Take and develop dental x-rays and perform other diagnostic tests
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized oral health care instructions
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide to patients as needed
- Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile working environment
- Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and medical histories using electronic dental software
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient and effective patient care
- Provide preventive dental care to pediatric patients, including fluoride treatments and sealants
```Qualifications```
- Valid state dental hygiene license
- Experience with medical imaging techniques, including intraoral and extraoral radiographs
- Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and technique
- Ability to accurately record vital signs and maintain detailed medical records
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and human anatomy
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform thorough patient assessments
