Job Description
Overview
Looking for a great hygienist to join our boutique practice in San Mateo. We will provide you a nice working environment and be supportive of you!
Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Take dental radiographs (X-rays) using digital imaging technology while ensuring patient safety through proper technique.
Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to empower them in maintaining oral health.
Skills
Team player
Help with co-diagnosis
Occasional sealant placements
Present non-surgical periodontal treatments
Laser certified a plus
Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate clearly, build rapport, and educate effectively on dental health topics.
