Duties
Provide comprehensive preventive and periodontal care, including scaling and root planing, polishing, and fluoride treatments, while ensuring optimal patient comfort, safety, and clinical outcomes.

Perform thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current oral health status to support accurate diagnosis and individualized treatment planning.

Collaborate closely with the dentist through co-diagnosis and chairside support, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency, workflow, and patient experience.

Acquire and interpret diagnostic radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with clinical guidelines while strictly adhering to infection control and aseptic protocols.

Educate patients on oral hygiene instruction, preventive care strategies, and post-treatment compliance to support long-term oral health and treatment success.

Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely clinical documentation using Dentrix EMR, ensuring full HIPAA compliance and continuity of care.

Support the clinical and administrative team with treatment plan review, documentation accuracy, and dental coding as needed to ensure seamless case presentation and coordination of care.

Skills
Proficient in Dentrix dental software, including scheduling, clinical documentation, and comprehensive records management.

Strong foundation in dental terminology, oral anatomy, infection control standards, and strict adherence to aseptic technique protocols.

Experience in pediatric dentistry and providing compassionate, effective care in a clinical setting involving children is highly preferred.

Competent in obtaining vital signs, performing patient assessments, and supporting diagnostic imaging procedures.

Exceptional patient communication skills with the ability to clearly explain treatment procedures, reinforce preventive care, and deliver effective oral health education.

Thorough understanding of HIPAA compliance standards, ensuring the highest level of confidentiality and protection of patient health information.

Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced general dentistry environment, utilizing strong chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry skills to support clinical excellence and workflow efficiency.

Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour
