Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. Responsibilities
Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and other preventive hygiene procedures with precision and care.
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral examinations to inform treatment planning.
Take high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays) and utilize medical imaging techniques to assist in accurate diagnosis.
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort
Maintain detailed and accurate electronic health records (EHR), including documentation review, medical coding, and updating patient charts in systems such as SOFTDENT.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, dietary habits, and post-treatment care to promote long-term oral health.
Follow strict infection prevention protocols using aseptic techniques and adhere to healthcare infection control standards to ensure patient safety.
Manage dental equipment maintenance, sterilization processes, and infection control procedures in compliance with HIPAA regulations and best practices.
Monitor patients' vital signs throughout appointments to ensure safety during treatments.
Uphold patient confidentiality by maintaining HIPAA compliance and managing sensitive medical records responsibly.
Experience
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental office or clinic environment.
Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as SOFTDENT is highly preferred BUT not mandatory
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and general dentistry procedures.
Hands-on experience with dental assisting tasks including chairside assisting and use of dental equipment.
Demonstrated expertise in infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control standards.
Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and team collaboration.
Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is a plus for supporting pediatric patients effectively.
