Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice. The Dental Hygienist will play a crucial role in promoting good dental hygiene practices and supporting the overall mission of our practice.
Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient assessments, including medical histories and oral examinations.
Conduct cleanings, scaling, and polishing of teeth using appropriate tools and techniques.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care.
Administer fluoride treatments and sealants as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records using Eaglesoft or similar dental software.
Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Collaborate with dentists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
Assist in pediatric dentistry procedures, ensuring a positive experience for young patients.
Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Experience in a dental office setting is preferred, with knowledge of general dentistry practices.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control measures.
Proficiency in medical imaging techniques relevant to dental care.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Commitment to ongoing professional development and education in the field of dental hygiene.
