Responsibilities
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, fluoride treatments, and adhering to infection control protocols.

Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and dental radiographs using dental x-ray equipment.

Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their understanding of dental health.

Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside support, managing dental equipment and ensuring aseptic technique.

Maintain accurate electronic health records, documenting treatment details, medical terminology, and medical coding with precision.

Monitor and review medical records for completeness and compliance with HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality.

Manage infection prevention measures by adhering to healthcare infection control standards and maintaining sterilization of dental instruments.

Qualifications
Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current state licensure requirements.

Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry within a dental clinic or office setting.

Proficiency in dental software for managing electronic health records.

Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical imaging techniques.

Skilled in patient communication, client education, and maintaining a compassionate approach toward diverse patient populations including pediatrics.

Familiarity with dental x-ray procedures, X-ray safety protocols, and infection control practices including aseptic technique.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment practicing four-handed dentistry techniques when needed.

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
